Our staff is carefully chosen for their experience and for the unique personal qualities they bring to the Centre.  Minimal staff turnover lends to camaraderie amongst staff resembling that of an extended family.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Cathy McLaughlin has been with the Halton Centre for Child Care since 1992. In the field of ECE since 1975 Cathy is no stranger to the changes and trends in child care. A child and family advocate Cathy prides herself on bringing the best of tried and new together in a Centre where programming meets the needs of every unique child in our care. Always striving for balance, Cathy has designed a Centre where play meets learning in perfect harmony and children feel as welcomed and safe as they would at home.

KITCHEN
Miss Judy knows all about cooking for a crowd. She has been preparing delicious, balanced meals for the children at the Halton Centre since 1997. With more than 20 years of experience cooking in a child care setting, many parents are at odds with their children complaining they like Miss Judy’s cooking better.

INFANT STAFF
Miss Heather, Miss Karen B, Miss Karen S and Miss Vesna have been a team in our Infant Room since 2006. Together they have developed a strong program that nurtures each infant’s self-esteem and development in a gentle and caring atmosphere.

TODDLER STAFF
With over 15 years combined tenure, our Toddler Staff Miss Alli, Miss Luza, Miss Nicole and Miss Rebecca guide our Toddlers through daily programs that emphasizes sensory play, cognitive and gross motor experiences that harness a child’s enthusiasm and need for exploration.

PRESCHOOL STAFF
Miss Krystyna has been joined recently by our newest team members Miss Katie and Miss Meredith. With more than 20 combined years experience in the field of ECE Krystyna, Katie and Meredith follow the child’s lead in play and learning offering a curriculum that enriches their senses.

JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN
Miss Sarah and Miss Melinda have been team teaching at the Halton Centre for over 8 years. Sarah and Melinda started out working in the Preschool Room together before moving to the Junior Kindergarten room in 2006 where they offer a Junior Kindergarten program rich in learning opportunity.

SUPPLY STAFF
We are fortunate to have a fabulous team of supply staff who cover when our regular staff is off. Many of our Supply staff joins our team after doing their college placements here. Our friendly supply staff quickly gets to know each child and family at the Centre as well as any of our regular staff so are more like a welcome extension to our full timers.
